I was on the hunt for a new wallet.

My last one had served me very well, but it was starting to look a little tired (it’s not you, it’s me – actually, it is you).

I had a strict selection criteria:

1. It must be black (practical, stylish and hides the dirt).

2. It must be pebbled leather – this is my favourite leather for wallets because it wears so well.

3. It must have a separate coin compartment. Why do wallets not all have separate coin compartments?? Has everyone else worked out some clever solution for all their loose change and they’re not telling me?

4. It must be an envelope shape, so it can double as a clutch purse at a pinch.

It was whilst on this search that I came across this Anya Hindmarch wallet.

As with all great fashion loves, it doesn’t tick all my boxes, but I think it may just be perfect.
