I love a full skirt. They’re fun, swishy and there’s something about all that extra fabric that makes me feel really playful.

But maybe the girliness of a full skirt is not your thing. Maybe you’re more of utilitarian-styling kind of girl.

Don’t write-off this trend just yet.

The great thing about the full skirt this season is that it’s embracing its inner tomboy – wear it with all your favourites: a denim jacket, a loose v-neck-tee or knit. The trick is to make sure you still emphasise the waist, so either tuck-in your top or else find a cropped denim jacket like the one in the pic, which finishes right on the waist.

As to whether you team it with heels or a sneaker is completely up to you.
