IN HER WARDROBE

Tory Archbold

Thursday 20th Mar 2014

The first thing you notice about Tory Archbold is her smile. It’s infectious. She has one of those sweet, kind smiles that makes you want to smile too.

Tory is the terribly clever, always stylish Founder and Director of TORSTAR Communications – a PR company that works with retail brands to create recognition and drive sales in the Australia.

You may be familiar with a couple of her clients – Zara, Topshop, Seafolly, Shopbop, Neiman Marcus, Mulberry, Tods, Bvlgari, adidas and Next UK to name just a few (!!)

One of the perks of working with so many leading international fashion brands is that Tory gets to travel – a lot.

And all this travel over the years has built a somewhat unconventional (but wonderful) travel diary.

As we wander through Tory’s wardrobe, each piece brings back memories of airport stopovers in Bangkok, meetings with clients in Paris or a chilly afternoon with girlfriends in London.

Want to take a little trip down memory lane with Tory?

Follow the link below for all the pics from Tory’s wardrobe as well as her tips on traveling stylishly, the best places to shop and the perils of purchasing too many thongs

The best (fashion) lesson I’ve learnt is… black works best when you travel. A cashmere wrap helps too.

My go-to outfit… differs depending on the city. Sydney: relaxed. Paris: chic. I love mixing it up.

On the top of my wish list is… another visit to Lane Crawford in Hong Kong – it’s a shopping mecca.

My most recent fashion purchase was… some Saint Laurent heels.

I keep buying more… shoes and bags. I think it’s an addiction. I’ve started archiving my Mulberry collection for my daughter.

I need more… time to hang on the beach in a Seafolly bikini with a good book and some sunscreen.

I wish I’d never bought… so many leather thongs in Greece. I’m waiting for my daughter to grow into them so she can enjoy them too.

If I could only keep 3 things in my wardrobe, they would be… my Chopard ‘Happy’ necklace, my Mulberry ‘Lily’ bag and my Chloe flats.

My favourite labels are… Roland Mouret, Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Maje, Ginger&Smart.

My favourite online shops are… Shopbop and Neiman Marcus.

I always feel happy when I wear
Roland Mouret. I’m addicted to his dresses. He has a great understanding of the female form. And once you have one, they’re so easy re-purchase online.

Any outfit looks better with
 a smile.
