There’s no denying that the Greeks have a long (long, looong) history with the sandal. In fact, according to Greek mythology, the gods and goddesses all had their sandals made on the island of Crete (as you would).

So taking inspiration from this, in addition to all things art, jewellery and architecture, Christina Martini and Nikolas Minoglou created ‘Ancient Greek Sandals’ – the most fantastically perfect collection of hand-crafted summer sandals.

My pick? …this raffia fringed pair from a recent collab with fashion designer, Marios Schwab.
