Fashion is all about rules… albeit making them and then finding ways to show us how great it can be to break them.

Case in point: Proportions.

We’ve always been told the importance of proportions: the long with the short, the opaque with the sheer and the slim-fit with the oversized.

But there’s something so wonderfully elegant, swishy and comfy (because you should never underestimate the importance of comfy) about the teaming of generous oversized layers.

Now, we’ve chatted a bit lately about the longer, looser midi skirt here, here and here, so lets now look at pairing them up with tops of equally generous proportions.
