Regular readers of INEZ Daily will know that Iâm a little fond of a movie reference.
Today itâs âLa Femme Nikitaâ, written and directed by Luc Besson (of âThe Big Blueâ and ‘The Fifth Elementâ fame). It tells the tale of Nikita, the (fantastically French in a ridiculously-sexy-without-even-trying kind of way) social misfit turned trained assassin.
âThe point being?â, I hear you sayâŠ
Well, one of my favourite scenes in the movie finds Nikita on her initial mission, killing a foreign diplomat in a crowded restaurant, all whilst dodging the pursuit of his well-armed bodyguards.
“But what was she wearing?” you ask (right??)
…the most perfectly fitted black cocktail dress, a string of simple pearls and some sheer black hosiery. No great fashion moment here, but she manages to make them look SO good.
Ever since, Iâve looked at sheer black hosiery with a special kind of fondness – the way they subtly even out your skin tone, contour your leg and (in my mind) remain remarkably ladder-free, even whist being pursued by dastardly henchmen.
Have I sold you on them yet?
Thinking you need a couple of pairs of these adorably chic, spotted hosiery in your life?
