COS x Snarkitecture

Thursday 16th Apr 2015

I love fashion installations, challenging us to look at the creative forces behind fashion in a whole new light.

And the word ‘light’ also happens to be the perfect segue into my post today…

COS (another of my loves) commissioned Daniel Arsham and Alex Mustonen of Snarkitecture to create an installation as part of Salone del Mobile.

Inspired by the luminescence of the COS Spring Summer 15 collection, they’ve transformed Spazio Erbe in the Brera district of Milan into an immersive, translucent cave with over 100,000 metres of layered, sheer white fabric ribbons hung from the ceiling, creating a warren of tunnels and spaces throughout the building’s rooms. Visitors are encouraged to explore and interact with the billowing fabric as they make their way through the installation.

Can’t make it to Milan?

For a calm and dreamy interlude in your day, take a little wander through the COS x Snarkitecture installation with this film by Andrew Telling.
