Whilst I’m quite fond of a cropped pant (and in turn, exposed ankles… evidenced here, here, here and here) when wearing these shorter lengths we shouldn’t overlook that wonderful, albeit humble friend – the sock.

Practical yes, in that it both keeps your feet warm whilst prevent chaffing and blisters.

But if chosen wisely, they can also be particularly fetching for those who like their personal style with a generous helping of tomboy-ish charm.

The best bit?

You don’t actually need that many – just 3 or 4 pairs of silk blend (read: not too bulky, holds their colour and are sooo lovely to wear) in a selection of complimentary shades will most definitely have you sorted.
