I started INEZ Daily because I wanted to share all the wonderful things I find on my travels as a stylist with other like-minded fashion lovers.
A happy consequence of this oversharing is the friendships that Iāve formed with other equally enthusiastic creative sorts. A lot of the time weāve never actually met or even spoken but we āchatā often through social media.
āShortcutsā has now given me the opportunity to reach out to these clever, talented and charming women, as I ask them to open their address books and share with us their well edited tips, go-toos and⦠shortcuts!
Today I bring you Kara Rosenlund, that incredibly inspiring photographer, stylist, adventurer, author and storyteller who takes us on her self-proclaimed āold school road tripping adventureā through the wondrous, beautiful, sensitive and charming images that she creates.
Want to know where Kara heads in her hometownĀ for flowers, homewares, cocktails and so much mooore??
Follow the link below and all will be revealed…
Fashion:
The Fabric Store for fabric – I canāt sew, so I get things made by the sweetest lady who’s 76.
Homewares:
Coin toss between Magnolia, The Old Boat House, Everingham & Watson and Virginia Antiques.
Books:
Folio Books in the city and Riverbend Books.
Coffee:
Vieille Branche in Fox street, Albion. French antiques and coffee – the perfect combo!
Brunch:
Jamieās Espresso Bar – I’ve been going here for 12 years strong and I have the ‘milk crate arseā to prove it. Chairs are overrated right?
Cocktails:
Maker, on Fish Lane. Order the pollen, beeswax and whiskey cocktail – itās sexy and so is the fit out – dark as midnight, with lots of brass. Hot!
Family Dinners:
Our house, on the back deck. Tin and timber, canāt beat it.
Date night:
Gauge, opposite the Queensland Museum, skip between Gauge for dinner and Maker around the corner for late night drinks. Brisbane has never felt more alluring!
Groceries:
Sourced Grocer for the fancy bits and Food Connect‘s vegetable box for basics.
Butcher:
The Meat Man, Lutwyche Shopping Centre. Seriously, I bring my cook books in and ask him for all sorts of weird cuts.
Bottle shop:
My local Drive-Thru – I hope they never knock it down, they knock everything down in Brisbane.
Take Away:
The dodgy Thai down the road, which knows my order when they hear my voice.
Florist:
QueenslandĀ Floral Supplies at HendraĀ –Ā two big cold rooms of the good stuff!
