Having had three children and despite being in good shape, unfortunately I have an annoying, immovable patches of cellulite above my knees. But I miss wearing shorts in summer – so wonder if there are some not too conservative longer versions around?

Hi Jill,

You (and your knees) will be very pleased to hear that summer classic, the Bermuda short is making a comeback.

Cut just on the knee, their pared back, tailored lines look equally great with a cotton shirt, sleeves rolled back and and a pair of heeled sandals as they do with a boxy cut tee and some espadrilles.

To successfully pull this look off though,  you must acknowledge their preppy roots (with fashionable irony, naturally) – think cabana stripes, tuxedo shirts, chunky man-style watches and loafers (my pick would be this particularly handsome pair from Gucci).
