Dear Katie,

I always love the idea of a maxi dresses for evening – they’re sexy, elegant and fun all in equal measure… and the best bit? They’re so gloriously swishy. There’s not nearly enough swishy in our lives anyone!

If you’re tall, they look great with a flat, embellished sandal, but if you’re after a little extra height, team them with a pair of this seasons great platform sandals or wedges.

And for accessories, I reckon keep it simple with a striking statement necklace – there’s some really great ones around that feature marble and rock crystals.
