Next up on my roll-call of Great-New-Labels-That-I’ve-Discovered* is…
Dôen.
Founded in 2015 by sisters, Margaret and Katherine Kleveland, Dôen is the most delightful (read: really pretty) yet accessible (read: super well priced) collection of bohemian inspired pieces that set out to ‘celebrate motherhood, sisterhood and modern femininity’.
But aside from really lovely designs, they’re also seeking to address the gender imbalance in the women’s fashion industry that sees women designing, purchasing, and wearing the clothing but so rarely at the helm of fashion brands, by insisting that all of the factories Dôen employs in India and Peru be either owned or co-owned by women.
Keen to celebrate some sisterhood too?
Pop across to their website to check out the current collection…
